Tiny-Shiny Childcare Programs for Young Families and Children
Our educational program, directed by the supervisor, is designed to give every child an opportunity to work alone and in groups, to increase their skills, interests and to promote learning. The children will learn to cooperate with and enjoy other children and adults while learning to become independent. Tiny-Shiny Childcare offers a variety of learning including crafts, music and movement, sensory, drama, cognitive learning activities, building equipment (LEGO®, H Blocks, etc.), puzzles, books, pets, gross motor skills, morning and afternoon circle, and our discovery centre. We offer opportunities for group and individual play, as well as quiet and active play.
Our Programs
Tiny-Shiny Childcare offers both full-time and part-time programs in our center.

Our full-day program is 5 days per week.

Our part-time programs consist of full-day programming as few as 2 full days per week depending on availability.

You would be able to pick 2, 3 or 4 full days on a consistent basis according to your work schedule.
Toddler Program
Our toddler programs are for children age 12 months (walking) to 30 months. Our toddler programs focus on supporting children in exploring leading to physical and mental growth. A toddler has the experience to explore activities such as art, sensory, science, nature, language, music, and movements. Two hours’ outdoor activities are provided each day. All toddler programs provide nutritious lunch and two snacks as per the Ontario Food Guide throughout the day. A nap or rest period is approximately two hours every day.

Pre-School Program
Our preschool program is for children 2 ½ to 4 years old. Children are encouraged to choose the activities that interest them and our teachers plan the activities according to children’s interest. Preschoolers are ready to learn colors, shapes, numbers and letters. Preschoolers will develop their social skills throughout the play. Children are provided with a nutritious lunch and two snacks as per the Ontario Food Guide. A nap or rest period and two hours outdoor playtime are provided each day.

Before & After School Program
Our before & after school program is for children 4 to 12 years old. The program is designed to foster team building, leadership skills, and independence. Children are provided with outdoor play time for their busy schedule.

Hours of Operation
Our programming officially begins at 9:00 am daily. For a child to benefit from any program, we would like them in for 9:00 am, but no later than 10:00 am. Only under certain circumstances (doctor’s appointment, dentist appointment, etc.) and approval from the supervisor will children be allowed after the set time.
